Dyno Tuning

when should you

tune on
the dyno?

When installing a new exhaust system, changing the air intake, or upgrading the engine components, dyno tuning is essential. These modifications can, and will alter the air-fuel ratio, necessitating a re-tune to optimize performance.

If you notice issues with power delivery, throttle response, or acceleration, the dyno is a great tool to diagnose and address these concerns. It's particularly important if you're experiencing flat spots or rough performance at certain RPM ranges, and not an overall issue which might be easily diagnosed as mechanical.

Switching between different fuel types, such as regular gasoline and high-octane racing fuel, or using a higher blend of ethanol, will require a dyno tune to ensure proper engine operation.

For anybody involved in competition, dyno tuning is vital to extract the most optimal power and dynamics from the motorcycle. The calibration can also be adjusted for different tracks and race conditions.
